Declan Hattie

Declan Hattie shot to social media fame after sharing how him and his partner Jonathan transformed their Larkhall house into their dream home - twice. 

Declan had extra time on his hands after being furloughed as the coronavirus pandemic took over. He decided to use this opportunity to pour his energy into revamping his home before deciding to move and start all over again in 2021. 

Declan and Jonathan launched their home and lifestyle Instagram account in 2020 which quickly amassed a cool 13,000 followers. 

Since then, Declan has been updating followers on unique ideas, DIY tips and luxury home style on their @hattielarkinshome Instagram account featured in Daily Record, Sunday Post, Sunday Mail and ITV. 

In January 2024, Hattie Larkins Home was named one to watch by Homes & Interiors Magazine Scotland in their Favourite Scottish Interior Accounts 2024. 

Leaving behind a ten-year career within the motor industry, Declan has combined a passion for interiors and social media and launched his own business - Hat&Tie Social in summer 2023, this is where he was introduced to Michele, who became the agency’s first client by onboarding Interiors Forty-Five and managing their social media platforms.

Founder of Interiors Forty-Five, Michele Brown, Interior Designer has a passion for design and an exquisite eye for detail. Whilst specialising in bespoke design projects including residential and commercial, Michele also has a design studio in Glasgow where dreams become a reality; creating spaces clients fall in love with. 

Emerging from her twenty-two-year career in corporate banking and events management. Michele’s lifelong passion for Interior Styling led her from transforming successful property renovations into a fulfilling career. With a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of rapidly evolving design trends, Michele embarked on her entrepreneurial journey. 

At the age of forty-five, Michele completed formal training in Interior Design and Home-styling, taking the leap to establish her own business. Thus, Interiors Forty-Five was born, infusing every project with dedication, flair, and a commitment to exceptional design. 

Regardless of Michele being an industry newcomer, she was delighted to be placed finalist in the prestigious Scottish Home Improvement Awards 2023 under Best Designer category.
